@aeronautbrewing has been in the Mass Craft scene for quite a long while and have created a huge number of great beers with unique processes and ingredients. We’ve always been a fan, so when they asked us to join them in creating a kettle-soured beer using a house-culture older than we are, we couldn`t say no.
Starting with a base of domestic pale barley and wheat malts, we chopped up a couple hundred pounds of fresh cucumbers and added it to the whirlpool. The wort was then soured with their ancient culture, boiled, re-fermented with Nottingham ale yeast and dry-hopped with Four-Star Farms Chaos hops to create a complexly tart, crisp, refreshing beer with just a note of sour-pickle. 4.5% ABV
