The Old Fashioned is a cocktail as old as time itself. It's origins are a mystery (well they're not, but we're too lazy to look it up…Ok 1895…) ANYWAY, this magnificent concoction has many fans around the brewery. So when our friends at Pops Liquors @popsfinewines gifted us a freshly emptied bourbon barrel, we knew just what to do with it. We filled that barrel with fresh Madagascar Vanilla Cream ale, aged it for 2 months to get just the right amount of bourbon character, then goosed it with orange peel and maraschino cherry juice. The result is a fabulous balance of rich flavors that is very hard to distinguish from the original beloved beverage. Very limited supply. This batch won't be around long enough to earn the moniker, “Old”.
