Yesterday I had the privilege of meeting with a Hop Farmer from the Willamette Valley in Oregon who has 150 acres of Hops. He was in town for a family members graduation and came in the Brewery to say hello.

He offered to come down to Langwater Farm and take a look at our hops and provide us some advice on growing and maintaining them.

He was a wealth of information and provided insight into the farming, packaging and distribution end which we rarely hear or understand much about.

This inspired me to clean up the hop beds and tend to the plants based on his advice.

Needless to say we forged an alliance and will be brewing some beers with his hops in the very near future!
